And you can't cross the line, but you can't stop trying
Phoenix - SOS in Bel Air
I couldn't seem to find any 'music only' videos, guess the copyright thing is quite an issue for Phoenix. So the best I could find was this live video of them performing my favourite off the album, 'SOS in Bel Air'. Watch in HD people :)
I've listened to the entire Phoenix album, and I must say that they have impressed me with their fancy lyrics. Seriously, who gets away with lyrics like these:
And you can't cross the line
But you can't stop trying
Alone, alone, alone
Crystal or Bamboo?
Voyager Canoe
Do you need another one?
Someone to talk to?
Jokes aside, this album is pretty kick-ass. Love all the synthesizers and loud euphoric choruses. Perfect soundtrack to liven up a dull day.

Love ain't fair
Gotye - Heart's A Mess
Just finished listening to the Great Gatsby soundtrack. Some hits and some misses, but I liked this one immediately. Turns out it was one of his older songs. Another song I liked was by Sia, 'Kill and Run'.
Now this song she wrote specially for the soundtrack. Sounds like the original Sia we all loved. There are also a couple of club tunes on the album though, excited to see how the songs will fit into the movie.
Baz Lurhmann, I have faith in you. Moulin Rouge for the win.

We danced with monsters through the night.

Perfect song to start your day with. Happy Wednesday!
You say that life is a game
Ski Lodge - A Game
Time for some summer pop.

When it gets loud, I turn it up
New Politics - Harlem
Yep, this is coming from the same band who gave us that YEAH YEAH YEAH song. (which was pretty annoying, too pitchfork for me heh) But that's okay cause it seems like they've tuned the rage level down a couple notches. Loving this new track, I've a feeling I'm gonna like their upcoming album.

I'll do anything to keep you with me.
The Colourist - Yes Yes
Yet another great find. I simply can't help but to tap my feet along to this. Extremely catchy.

As the sun began to set; we couldn't have cared less.
LAX - JJAMZ (pronounced juh-jamz!)
Gosh is it me or are there plenty of really good indie songs this year? It's incredible. And here's the perfect song for the upcoming summer! Found this track off 8tracks, my favourite app for listening to something new and random. Seriously, I just type chillax and there you go, a whole bunch of 'chillax' themed playlists to choose from. Cool beans.

We've come too far to give up who we are
Daughter - Get Lucky (Daft Punk cover)
Holy fudge. This is incredible.

I take one walk ‘round, we ain’t slowing down
Lovetron (Acoustic)
Oh no think I'm gonna get trolled by all those non-mainstream hipsters. I'm liking this track especially after listening to the acoustic version. Far East Movement y'all. Not forgetting it features Travis Garland being perfect with his perfect falsettos. Don't hate on him for sounding like JT. Everyone's different and there's nothing wrong with having a similar style.

Is this the end or just the start of something really, really beautiful
Voxtrot - The Start of Something
I simply have too much 'feels' for this one, seriously. Such a perfect feel good song to get your day started. Wonderfully written, though the lyrics are a bit dubious? Sounds like it's meant to be a hate poem written by a scorned lover or something. But still, great song that gets me up and running.

Your words alone, could drive me to a thousand tears
Jessie Ware - Running
One of the best songs I've heard in a long time. She sounds like a mix between Florence Welch and Elena from Daughter.
Downloaded her album with no prior listens. Seriously I have never listened to any of her songs before this. Sounded like another Lana Del Rey to me to be honest. And I'm not a huge LDR fan so wasn't too enthusiastic.
Boy was I wrong. Her album is ah-mah-zing!
And this is my favourite off the deluxe edition. Love this acoustic version of Running.
